Earning Plus Learning for High School Seniors

Kroger wants to see how high school seniors are staying “Active” this year! If you are a high school senior, submit a creative submission displaying how you have been active – academically, physically and within their community – in keeping with this year’s theme “Active! Mind. Body. Community.”

Creative submissions can come in the form of scrapbook, photos, videos, essays, student drawings, newspaper clippings, and more.

Entries will also require high school seniors to meet the following requirements:
• Graduating high school senior
• GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point unweighted scale (or equivalent on another scale)
• U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States
• Pursuing continued education from an accredited two or four year college, university, technical or trade school
• Must have taken the SAT or ACT
• Must provide a sealed transcript submitted with application
• Include a submission of creative expression of the 2009-2010 theme “Active! Mind. Body. Community.”

Applications and submissions must be received by the Kroger Co. before February 1, 2010, to be eligible. Applications and submissions should be sent to: Kroger Earning Plus Learning, 2175 Parklake Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30345.

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of local and regional community leaders, as well as a Kroger Community Involvement Team. Winning entries take into account both the creative submission along with the student’s overall GPA. Winning students will be notified via letter and/or phone by April 20, 2010. Each Kroger Earning Plus Learning Scholarship winner will be recognized at their corresponding Kroger School District event for elementary and middle schools.
